Land & Site Clearance

Trees, scrub and vegetation only.

Overgrown plots, development sites, paddocks and woodland edges cleared by qualified arborists across Surrey, Kent, South London and West Sussex.

Please read before you call

We are tree surgeons, not a waste removal company. We do not collect rubbish, junk, appliances, furniture, builders' waste or household items. If your job is mainly clearing waste, please contact a licensed waste carrier or your local council's bulky waste collection.

When a piece of land has been left to grow, it doesn't take long for brambles, scrub, self-seeded trees and ivy to take over. Whether you're preparing a plot for building, bringing a paddock back into use, or opening up an overgrown garden, we clear the vegetation safely and leave the ground ready for the next stage.

What we clear, and what we don't

We clear

  • Trees of all sizes, including felling and sectional dismantling
  • Scrub, brambles and thick undergrowth
  • Self-seeded saplings
  • Hedgerows
  • Ivy and climbers on trees
  • Tree stumps, ground out below the surface

We don't clear

  • General rubbish or fly-tipped waste
  • Appliances, furniture or mattresses
  • Builders' rubble, soil or hardcore
  • Sheds, fencing or other structures
  • Tyres, vehicles or scrap metal
  • Garden waste you've already bagged up

If a site has a small amount of non-green material mixed in with the vegetation, mention it when you get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.

Who we clear land for

  • Developers and builders who need vegetation removed before groundworks start
  • Landowners and farms reclaiming overgrown fields, field margins and paddocks
  • Homeowners with large gardens or plots that have become unmanageable
  • Commercial sites and estates needing access routes, boundaries or verges opened up

How a clearance job works

  1. Site visit or photos. We look at the area, the size of the trees and how we can get machinery in, then give you a free fixed quote.
  2. Checks before work. We check Tree Preservation Orders and Conservation Area status with the council, and look for nesting birds and other wildlife.
  3. Clearance. Trees are felled or dismantled, and scrub and undergrowth are cut back to ground level.
  4. Stumps. Stumps are ground out below the surface if needed.
  5. Handover. You're left with a clear, tidy site ready for building, planting or grazing.

Wildlife, nesting birds and TPOs

Bird nesting season runs roughly from March to August. Disturbing an active nest is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, so we survey for nests before starting and will phase the work if we find any. Large clearances are often best booked for autumn and winter for this reason.

We also check whether any trees on the site are protected before anything is felled. If consent is needed, we can handle the application for you. Our guide to Tree Preservation Orders explains how this works.

Frequently asked questions

Do you remove rubbish, junk or household waste?

No. We only clear trees and vegetation. We don't remove rubbish, appliances, furniture, builders' waste, tyres or general junk. For that, please contact a licensed waste carrier or your local council's bulky waste service.

What does your land clearance include?

Tree felling, scrub and bramble clearance, hedgerow removal, self-seeded saplings, overgrown vegetation, ivy and stump grinding.

Can you clear land during bird nesting season?

We check for active nests before work starts and will pause or phase the clearance if we find any. Where possible, we recommend booking larger clearances between September and February.

Do you check for Tree Preservation Orders?

Yes. We check TPO and Conservation Area status with the local council before any tree is felled, and we can manage the consent application if one is needed.

How much does land clearance cost?

It depends on the size of the area, how dense the growth is, the number and size of trees, and access for machinery. We quote after seeing the site or clear photos, and quotes are free.
